Have you ever woken drenched in sweat after a nightmare that involved being forced to shop at Kmart for the rest of your natural born life? Does the thought of shuffling round a furniture megastore with the obligatory complimentary pencil and tape measure enough to send you into shock? Answered ‘yes’ to all of the above? Then read on.

Design:Made:Trade is the be all and end all mecca for design junkies. Following the success of the inaugural Design:Made:Trade in 2008, the 2009 edition will again showcase Australia’s small manufacturers/ product designers and design makers to retail buyers (click here to register for a free trade pass).

Not a retail buyer? Fear not. Unlike other events that may see embarking on an elaborate ruse, creating a fictitious company in order to gain entry, Design:Made:Trade caters for your average design junkie punter by throwing their doors open for two full days to the general public. No registration is required, just turn up on the day. As luck would have it, Electric Firefly will be in attendance – just look for the ridiculously good looking lamps (and staff) -  we’d love you to stop by and say ‘hi’.
