BREAKING NEWS JUST IN!

We’ve just found out from the lovely Julie (who we also borrowed the image from) that Handmade in Bloom being held in Canberra on September 11th and 12th has found a new venue – The Yarralumla Woolshed – Cotter Rd (between Denamn Drive & Tuggeranong Pathway).

Whilst Albert Hall had provided the venue for Handmade since November 2008, the general consensus was that it simply wasn’t big enough to accommodate all the stalls with punters occasionally either exposed to the elements (anyone remember the ‘balmy’ weather that he had in February?) or jostling for position (inside). So needless to say we weren’t exactly sad when Julie told us the news that the Woolshed was locked in for September.

For those of you that hadn’t heard, Handmade in Bloom will be spread over two days (well an evening and a day to be exact). The evening of Friday September 11 will see twilight markets followed by the traditional day markets the following day. You’ll be pleased to know that Electric Firefly has entered into discussions with Handmade to provide some sort of display or installation on the Friday night. We’ll let you know more details closer to the date.
